A nose with a slight initial reduction reveals complex and evolved notes with dried black plums, figs, wet earth, chopped mushrooms and a slight leather. Full body, tannins of a velvety nature, ripe and well relaxed and a broad and horizontal finish. Delicious now.

Pale brick, with some garnet at the core. Roasted coffee, toasted chocolate and some dried herb, with dried tobacco, tar and lots of spice character. Juicy, brisk acidity lifts the tarry, chocolatey palate. Firm to high, resolving tannins. Mellow, long, spiced finish.
